HOW TO CARE FOR MY SYNTHETIC WIG
Looking after my wig
Your synthetic hair wig is easy to care for and does not need to be restyled after washing.
Wash your wig every 2 weeks or so, or as required if wearing constantly or applying products.
Just follow these simple steps:
Use a wide toothed comb or brush to gently remove any tangles working gradually from ends to base
Tip: We recommend that you ONLY use a wide tooth comb for styling and detangling your Heat Defiant wig.
Mix a small amount of synthetic hair shampoo (cap/teaspoonful) in a bowl of cool water large enough to submerge your wig in
Soak your wig for 5 minutes
NEVER USE HOT WATER or RUB when washing
Next rinse out the shampoo under cool running water, Gently blot with a towel. DO NOT RUB OR WRING
Lightly spray from a distance of 30cm with a leave-in conditioning spray, (focus on hair inside and outside that hangs from the edge down)
Leave to air dry on a folding wig stand or tall can of hairspray
Never place a wet wig on a mannequin or foam head as this will stretch the cap
Once dry simply shake your wig out and use your fingers or a wide tooth comb to style your synthetic wig

USING CURLING TONGS
- Comb to detangle
- Take a 2.5-3.5cm section of hair (small sections for tighter curls; large sections for looser curls)
- Gather hair in curling iron, smooth through to ends, roll up towards weft.
- Hold for 15-20 seconds, release curl into palm
- Holding curl in one hand, gather up towards base and clip
- Allow curl to cool completely, remove clip.
- Let curl hang naturally
USING A FLAT IRON
Take 2.5-3.5cm section, starting at least 5cm away from base, slowly smooth flat iron down towards end, keep hair smoother with a comb behind the flat iron.
Continue though ends (2-3 times if needed)
